Incident leaves woman in her 70s fatally injured

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following the tragic death of a pedestrian involved in a collision in Bromfield, Shropshire.

The incident occurred around 1.30pm on 11th July on the A49, near the A4113 junction, involving an orange Renault Arkana.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, received immediate medical attention from paramedics at the scene but sadly succumbed to her injuries.

A heartfelt response from police extends thoughts to her loved ones during this difficult period.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been released under investigation.

Detectives urge anyone who witnessed the collision or who has footage that may aid the investigation to come forward.
