A woman in her 70s has died after a single-car crash in Oswestry yesterday afternoon (30th November).

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash on the B5009 in Queen's Head at around 2.30pm.

It's reported the car crashed into a fence after coming off the road.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival we discovered a car that had left the road and crashed into a fence. There was one patient, a woman.

“Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
