Operation Advance returns to Dudley to intensify crime crackdown
Additional police resources deployed to address community concerns
Operation Advance has returned to Dudley for a focused day of crime-fighting activity.
Scheduled for 23rd September, the operation includes extra police resources aimed at addressing the issues most important to the Dudley community.
Existing local teams in Dudley are strengthened with specialist units and officers from across the force.
Operation Advance rotates through each local policing area in the West Midlands, making Dudley its focus this month.
Police began their work overnight, arresting suspects wanted for various offences.
Activities will continue throughout the day and evening, targeting organised and violent crime, road safety, and anti-social behaviour.
Officers will also visit colleges and businesses to engage with the community.
Chief Inspector Bryn Robins of Dudley Police said, “Operation Advance sees staff and officers from not only Dudley but across the force working together with partners to carry out an intensive police operation.
We’re listening to the issues the community are reporting to us, which is why days like this are so important in having the extra resources and tackling the issues that matter most to the people living and working in the borough.”
Residents are encouraged to interact with officers on patrol and discuss any concerns they may have.
Updates are available throughout the day on Dudley Police's Facebook and Instagram accounts.
