Man charged after three assaulted in Brewood burglary

A man from Dudley has been charged after two other men and a woman were assaulted following a burglary in Brewood.

27-year-old Masood Ahmady has been charged with a number of offences including causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Emergency services were called out on Saturday (3rd January) to reports of a burglary on Kiddemore Green Road.

Two men and a woman were assaulted during the burglary.

One man has been taken to hospital with a head injury.

A police officer was also assaulted in custody after Ahmady was arrested.

He's been charged with:

  • section 18 – grievous bodily harm with intent
  • assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm
  • two counts of assault by beating
  • burglary
  • possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis)

Ahmady will next appear at Stafford Crown Court on 6th February.
