Man dies after three-car crash in Walsall

Police are appealing for information after a man died following a three-car collision in Walsall.

Emergency services were called to Darlaston Road, near the junction with Wellington Street in Pleck, shortly before 7.15pm on Sunday, May 3.

A black Mercedes, a yellow Skoda Octavia and a white Kia were involved in the collision.

The driver of the Kia, a man aged in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.

Police say their thoughts are with his loved ones and that they will be offered support.

The drivers of the other vehicles remained at the scene and are assisting officers with their enquiries.

West Midlands Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is working to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, particularly anyone with dashcam footage.
