A man has been charged in connection to a two-car collision that happened in Wolverhampton.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man on Monday (22 Dec) on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

Ryan Stanley has now been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and failing to stop.

It comes after a Seat Ibiza collided with another car on Goldthorn Hill, at the junction of Fowler Street, before hitting a woman on the pavement at around 8.40pm last Saturday.

As a result, a woman in her 50s was taken to hospital where she now remains in a stable condition.

Stanley was remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.
