A man has been charged after a series of robberies where police say victims were threatened with a knife in Dudley and Sandwell.

The force say last month, on Anderson Road in Tipton, a driver was forced to hand over their car.

Just over a week later, on 8th August, a man and woman were threatened with a knife on King Street in Dudley, where a mobile phone was taken.

Muhammad Hassan, aged 28 and of no fixed address, has been charged with both offences, as well as the theft of a vehicle in Wellington Road, Dudley, on 28 July.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (27 August).

Police say the case is part of Operation Ruby, which is focused on tackling robberies and catching those responsible.
