Fire breaks out at Newport pub

Crews have been tackling a fire at a pub in Newport.

It happened just before 8.30pm yesterday, at the Barley Mow Inn.

Six fire appliances, including the Incident Command Unit, were mobilised from Albrighton, Newport, Telford, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Police also attended the scene.

The fire was in the ground floor kitchen of the pub.

Six breathing apparatus, two main jets, three hose reel jets and two positive pressure ventilation fans were deployed.

The fire was out shortly before 1am.
