A family-run farm in Shropshire has shared their shock after learning their petal confetti was used by global pop superstar Dua Lipa at her wedding.

Confetti from Shropshire Petals was scattered on the steps of London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall on Sunday 31st May as the award-winning musician married actor Callum Turner.

Alannah Evitts from the farm told us how the team only found out after photos from the ceremony began surfacing online.

"We had no idea at all," she said.

"There was definitely a lot of jumping about on Monday morning. We're still all really buzzing from it now."

She added: "It's very exciting for an international superstar to be using petals grown on our family farm."

The team realised learned of their famous customer after a sachet of the 'Wonderland' petal confetti mix with the Shropshire Petals branded sticker on it was spotted in photos.

Alannah said in the wake of the coverage of the star-studded wedding, the farm has had numerous enquiries about what confetti Dua used.

"We've definitely gained a lot of new followers," she said.

"We've had a lot of couples messaging us wanting to know the mix - I suppose if it's good enough for Dua Lipa, everyone wants it!"

The farm produces a variety of biodegradable floral confetti mixes, with the entire process from growing the flowers to hand-picking and drying the petals taking place on site.

Alannah describes the work as "a lot of graft" but said seeing the process come to fruition on couple's special days is rewarding.

"It's lovely to see all couples using our petals, but then obviously, a superstar, I mean she's an absolute icon, the fact that that played a small part in her special day is pretty epic."
