Driver arrested for speeds of 70mph on 30mph roads in Wolverhampton
Police also recovered a knife, cannabis and suspected theft items from the vehicle
A driver has been arrested after reaching speeds of 70mph on 30mph roads in Wolverhampton.
The vehicle had failed to stop for police twice in the previous 24 hours. It was spotted again yesterday in Heath Town at around 5pm, where officers used a stinger to bring it to a halt in Willenhall.
It was also reported to have clipped and collided with a number of other vehicles, which did not result in any injuries.
Once stopped, the driver was arrested, whilst police also seized a knife.
A small number of cannabis was recovered and items related to thefts were also seized to be forensically examined.
A 19-year-old man remains in police cells this evening on suspicion of dangerous driving, theft of a vehicle, possession of a blade and possessing cannabis.
