Prison sentence extended for HMP Heath Stoke prisoner found with phone
He's been given an extra four months on his sentence
A prisoner at HMP Stoke Heath who was found with a mobile phone has been given an extra four months on his sentence.
22-year-old Dante Kelly hid a Zanco mobile phone in a pair of socks, and a charger in a cereal box in his cell.
He's currently serving a two-year sentence for drug offences.
He's now pleaded guilty to one charge of possessing an item in prison without authority.
Prison Crime Investigator, Detective Constable Jo Heyes, said: “I am pleased that Kelly has been given an extra four months on his sentence, as it sends a strong message that if anyone serving time in prison is found with a mobile phone we will take action, and they will be brought to justice.”
