DadPad app relaunches in Walsall to support new Dads
It's offering practical advice and a supportive community for fatherhood
An app designed to assist new and expecting dads has relaunched in Walsall, offering guidance and resources to help navigate the challenges of early parenthood.
The DadPad app, funded entirely by Walsall Council Public Health, provides practical tips and trusted advice to help fathers give their babies the best start in life while supporting their own wellbeing.
First introduced in Walsall in 2023, DadPad has already reached over 2,000 local dads, making a significant difference in the early parenting experience.
Now available on an updated platform, the app has been developed in collaboration with the NHS and Inspire Cornwall CIC. It covers key topics such as feeding, sleeping, soothing a crying baby, bonding, and supporting a partner’s mental health.
The new version allows fathers to share their own parenting experiences. The app also includes more visuals and is accessible in multiple languages, helping more dads across Walsall get the guidance they need.
The relaunch aims to expand DadPad’s reach, encouraging even more fathers to download and use the app. This initiative reflects Walsall’s commitment to promoting family health and ensuring that fathers feel confident and included in the parenting journey.
Julian Bose, CEO and founder at DadPad, said:
“We’re so thankful to have the opportunity to continue our mission in Walsall, in partnership with the fantastic local teams.
We’re especially excited to now have the new app platform in place here, making us all even better placed to listen to the views and needs of new fathers, which can be fed back to and considered by local new-family-focused organisations and systems."
