A man has been convicted of attempted murder after he used a car to hit a man twice in Wolverhampton.
His girlfriend stole a gold chain from the victim after he had been run over for the second time.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was left with serious injuries on Pope Road in The Scotlands in July.
He is still recovering, over five months later.
46-year-old Melvin Winters has been convicted of attempted murder and robbery.
The man's girlfriend, 32-year-old Josie James, has been convicted of robbery.
They both denied the charges but were found guilty.
They'll be sentenced next February in 2026.
A West Midlands police spokesperson said, "Supported by CCTV evidence, investigators found that Melvin Winters and Josie James had met their victim that afternoon and there was an argument.
"The victim was walking away as Winters hit him with the car, knocking him over. Winters then drove round and while the man was still on the ground hit him with the car for a second time.
"As the man lay badly injured, James got out of the car and took a gold chain from him before she and Winters drove off leaving their victim behind.
"The pair were quickly identified and traced with officers arresting them from separate addresses on July 5."
