Two brothers from Wolverhampton have been sentenced to eight years in prison each after being found guilty of running a county lines drug operation supplying Class A drugs.

The pair were caught by the County Lines Taskforce following reports about a drug line supplying crack cocaine and heroin in the Wolverhampton area.

Nicknamed the ‘Kash Line,’ the operation had been active from June 2024 to September 2025.

Extensive investigations, including phone record analysis, linked Akeam Khan, aged 27, and Mohammed Shay Khan, aged 26, to multiple phones that sent bulk text messages and received numerous calls.

In total, one device was found to have sent nearly 20,000 texts and received over 21,000 calls.

Both brothers were arrested in September last year after warrants were executed at several addresses.

They appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 10th February, facing charges related to the possession and supply of Class A drugs and criminal property.

Both pleaded guilty and received eight-year prison sentences.

Detective Constable Louise Ford from the County Lines Taskforce said:

“Following a thorough investigation, a lot of CCTV work, and detailed examinations of the phones we were able to shut down the network and put the brothers before the courts for them to answer for their crimes”

She added: “We know that County Lines networks impact our communities and fuel other crime. This is why we continue to work day in, day out, to stop those moving drugs throughout the West Midlands area and find those responsible to bring down drug lines.”

Their arrests were part of Operation Target, an ongoing effort to remove drugs from the streets and combat organised crime in the West Midlands.
