The Britannia Hotel Wolverhampton is gearing up to reopen its doors in November, marking the completion of an extensive refurbishment across its premises.

Situated in the city centre on Lichfield Street, the historic hotel has undergone significant upgrades, including the remodelling and redecorating of all 118 bedrooms and bathrooms.

New fixtures and furnishings have been installed, while the reception area and corridors have been renovated to enhance guest experiences.

Once open, the Victorian property will offer guests simple and convenient accommodation, featuring free wifi and refreshment vending facilities.

The hotel has been closed since 2021, serving as emergency accommodation for asylum seekers. With the government reducing its hotel occupancy programmes, Britannia is reinvesting in the Wolverhampton property to restore it as a community asset.

Prakash Sivarajan, Director of Britannia Hotels Group, expressed delight at the upcoming reopening, following the substantial refurbishment.

“We’re pleased to be bringing the Britannia Hotel Wolverhampton back into use following a significant refurbishment of the property," Sivarajan said.

The hotel, having invested in modern comforts, aims to provide a welcoming base for visitors to Wolverhampton.
