The family of a man who was tragically found dead in Cheslyn Hay have paid tribute to him.
Jake Henry Mills, aged 34, was found dead at an address on High Street at about 9.45pm on Thursday 18 September after being reported missing earlier the same day.
In a touching tribute to him, Jake’s family said he was a ‘loving father, son, and brother.’
“Jake was a single father. He had a strong bond with his daughter, and they loved each other unconditionally.
“This devastating loss will leave an unfillable void in her life.
“He was a keen football fan of Liverpool FC and the occasional visit to a Walsall FC game. Jake had a delightful sense of humour, was considerate and well mannered. That will be remembered with great fondness.
“Dealing with the pain of losing Jake, we ask that you respect our wishes for privacy at this difficult time.”
Police launched an immediate investigation to find out more about the circumstances surrounding Jake’s death.
On Saturday (20 September), officers arrested a 28-year-old man, from Walsall, on suspicion of murder. He was bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
Today (Thursday 2 October), the same 28-year-old man has been arrested again on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at this time.
Staffordshire Police are still keen to speak to anyone with any information that can help with the investigation.
