Appeal for witnesses after cyclist seriously injured in A49 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision between a car and a cyclist on the A49 near Wellington on Monday (10 November).

The incident happened at around 2:10pm and involved a VW Golf and a bicycle.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward and assist with the investigation.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or who has footage of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it. Your information could be vital in helping us understand what happened.”
