Resurfacing work on the A483 between Llynclys and Llanymynech is set to commence today (23rd February).

Work will continue overnight until 20th March, with closures from 8pm to 6am each night.

The extension of the program aims to minimize future disruptions by combining resurfacing, high friction surface replacement, road markings refresh, and drainage surveys.

Traffic will be rerouted under a total closure of this section of the A483, with emergency vehicle access maintained.

Access to The White Lion and The Garden Lodge will be allowed, but delays are anticipated while safety measures are enforced.

Residents can expect local diversions, which will be signposted in advance.

Drivers are encouraged to plan their journeys and allow extra time for the diversions.

Helen Morgan MP previously highlighted the Llynclys junction's reputation as a high-risk area, stressing the importance of improvements to ensure driver safety.

However, she continues to push for bigger change, such as a roundabout being built at the notorious accident blackspot.
