The Posh are fighting for a vital win today to move out of relegation zone
Peterborough United look to keep momentum going after recent upturn in results
Peterborough United are heading into a make-or-break fixture today, travelling to Doncaster in a bid to escape the relegation zone.
The Posh currently sit twenty-first in the league and know victory could be a huge step towards safety.
After a difficult start to the season, Peterborough have found their rhythm winning three of their last five games.
Doncaster Rovers, on the other hand, are nineteenth and have gone ten league matches without a win.
Peterborough haven’t had much luck against Doncaster in recent years, picking up just one win in their last eight league encounters.
Peterborough United manager, Luke Williams, said:
"They're another very competitive, well organised league one team."
"So we know it's going to be a tough game."
"We know the staff there have a lot of experience, so they're going to be ready for this game and they would've done their prep."
"We're expecting a tough game. Stevenage are the best at what they do. I think they've got a very strong game plan, very strong model, and Doncaster is equally as strong, but they have different characteristics."
On the starting lineup for today's game, Willaims said:
"One of the key things for me is observing the players day in day out."
"Sometimes we see a dip in energy or in focus and concentration."
"I think that if you are a player coming into the game and you give a really good impression of yourself, then you have a great opportunity to be in the next starting lineup."
Kick off is at 3pm at the Eco-power stadium.
