Leicester City have confirmed 10 players are leaving the football club following their relegation to League One.

Aaron Ramsey and Jordan James are among five loanees who are going back to their parent clubs.

It's a decade since the Foxes won the Premier League title.

Among the key departures is club captain Ricardo Pereira, who will leave after eight seasons with the club.

Pereira, who joined Leicester from Porto in the summer of 2018, made 220 appearances and was a key part of the squads that secured the 2021 FA Cup and the Community Shield later that same year.

His notable performances include scoring 15 goals as a right-back, with his late winner against PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Conference League Quarter-Final in 2022 especially memorable.

Who Else is Leaving?

Other players departing at the season's end include strikers Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew, defender Jamaal Lascelles, and Academy graduate Wanya Marçal.

Goalkeeper Asmir Begović's contract is set to expire as well, though discussions are ongoing regarding a potential extension of his stay at King Power Stadium.

Returning from loan spells are Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Aribo, Dujuan Richards, and Divine Mukasa, who will go back to their parent clubs.

Future Contract Decisions

Leicester City has exercised options to extend the contracts of five Academy players, including midfielders Henry Cartwright, Tommy Neale, and Ryan Donnelly, and defenders Thomas Wilson-Brown and Reiss Khela.

Contract offers have been made to goalkeepers Stevie Bausor and Harry French, defenders Mirsad Ali and Bobby Amartey, midfielders Silko Thomas and Logan Briggs, and forward Josh King.

Additionally, the club has confirmed that several other young players, such as goalkeeper Jake Donohue, defender Jahmari Lindsay, midfielders Alfie Fisken, Toby Onanaye, Olaoluwa Omobolaji, and striker Chris Popov, will be leaving the club.

Leicester City expressed gratitude to all departing players for their contributions and wished them well for the future.
