Rutland’s biggest celebration of local food and drink is happening in Oakham today
The Food and Drink Festival will take over Oakham Castle
Food lovers are in for a treat in Oakham today as the Rutland Food and Drink Festival returns.
With more than fifty stalls, live music and plenty of tastings, the event is a highlight of Rutland Food and Drink Week.

The Food and Drink Festival will take over Oakham Castle, the Marketplace and Victoria Hall.
It’s part of Rutland Food and Drink Week, showcasing the county’s top producers, with tastings and special menus.
Carolyn Acton, organiser of the event, said:
"At the last one in March we had about 4000 people so we're hoping for about the same today."
"The local businesses do appreciate how busy the town gets for a Sunday."
"Any shops and businesses that are open usually do very well."
"Local people here love the event and look forward to it every year and the stalls selling food, drinks, crafts, gifts."
The event will take place today from 11am until 4pm.
