Two butchers have been sentenced after two men were attacked with knives in a Peterborough street.

On 16 September, Mohamed Moustafa, 27, and Adham Mustafa, 19, took knives from the butchers they worked at and attacked two people following a dispute.

The victims, aged 26 and 28, were trying to get back a phone that Moustafa had stolen.

Instead, they were attacked with knives outside Elfaseh Halal Meat, in Gladstone Street, Millfield.

One of the victims almost had a quarter of his ear cut off, whilst the other suffered a cut on his shoulder.

Moustafa, of Huntly Grove, Eastfield, Peterborough, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and affray, and was found guilty of theft and threatening a person with a bladed article in a private place.

He has been jailed for three and a half years.

Mustafa, of Lincoln Road, Millfield, Peterborough, pleaded guilty to affray and was also found guilty of threatening a person with a bladed article in a private place.

He's been sentenced to 19 months in prison, suspended for 18 months.

He must also complete 120 hours of unpaid work and a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
