Man dies after car and lorry crash on A16

A man from Peterborough has died after a crash involving a lorry on the A16 near Newborough.

He was driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa when it collided with a HGV around 8.20 am on Thursday, 2nd April.

The man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 52-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving while under the influence of drugs.

He has been released under investigation.

Cambridgeshire Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the crash or the vehicles involved prior to the incident.
