Chatteris man jailed for supplying cannabis across Fenland
He's been jailed for three-and-a-half-years
A Chatteris man has been jailed for over three years for supplying cannabis in Fenland.
27-year-old Halil Akyuz was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and acquiring criminal property.
Cambridge Crown Court heard how Akyuz was the passenger of a black Ford Focus that was stopped by police in Bridge Street, Chatteris in August 2023.
Officers stopped the car as it had failed to stop on a previous occasion and was known to police.
Akyuz was arrested and his phone was seized.
Evidence of drug supply was found, including photographs and videos of cannabis, including it being grown, and bundles of cash.
He has been jailed for three-years-and-six-months.
