Elderly couple die after collision with lorry in Peterborough

An 81-year-old man and 80-year-old woman passed almost two weeks after the collision

An elderly couple have died following a collision between a car and DAF lorry in Peterborough.

The collision happened at about 11.20am on 9th March, on the roundabout on the A1139 Fletton Parkway, at the junction with Boongate.

Officers say 81-year-old Graham Tabbitt was driving a silver Ford Kuga which was in collision with a white DAF lorry.

Him and his wife, 80-year-old Virginia Tabbitt, both of Victoria Avenue, Whittlesey, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They both passed away at Addenbrooke's Hospital over the weekend of 21st March.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

Officers are continuing to appeal for information which could help their investigation into the collision.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is being urged to call 101 quoting Operation Harlesden, or incident 163 of 9 March.
