A public meeting's been called by campaigners against a 2,700 'mega solar farm' in rural Devon

The Devon branch of the Campaign To Protect Rural England say it it would be 'the largest in the South West and one of the largest currently planned in the UK'.

They add: "As a ‘Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project’, the plan will not be approved by the local community or its elected councillors; it will be approved only by the government.

"Unless we all, across Devon and beyond, tell the government that enough is enough. This is a massive project that is not needed to meet Net Zero targets, but is designed to make huge profits for investors at the expense of our landscape and farmland."

The meeting take place on Friday 31st October, at 11.30am in Holsworthy Memorial Hall.
