Large grassland fire in Exwick
There are eight fire engines on the scene
Crews are tackling a fire on grassland in Exwick, which started at around 4pm.
One fire engine from Exeter was originally sent to a report of a grass fire.
Due to the number of 999 calls, another engine was sent for assistance.
On arrival, crews confirmed this was a large area of grassland on fire and spreading towards domestic properties.
Firefighters requested further assistance and there are currently eight fire engines and several specialist appliances and officers in attendance.
