An investigation is underway following two incidents of indecent exposure in Oxford this week.

Thames Valley Police say the first incident took place around 11:20am on Wednesday (16 April) when a man cycled past a woman and her young child on a path near Longford Way.

The man then dismounted his bike and entered nearby bushes, where he exposed himself.

Later in the day, at approximately 1:05pm, a similar incident occurred on the cycle track between Hagbourne and Upton.

The man cycled past the victim, proceeded into the bushes, and exposed himself as the victim walked by.

The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties with a thin build and afro-style hair, wearing dark jeans and a dark top. He was riding a black bike.

Investigating officer, PC Daniel Mellor, is urging anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or possesses information that might assist the investigation to contact Thames Valley Police:

“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed either of these incidents, or may have information that could assist in our investigation to contact Thames Valley Police.

“I am also appealing to anyone else who may have been in the area, walking along this lane or anyone nearby with CCTV or door-cam footage."

Officers have gathered the details of some witnesses at the time of the report but are looking for any further witnesses or information.
