Trojan, a beloved police horse, has passed away, leaving a significant impact on those who knew and cared for him.

Serving Thames Valley Police for five and a half years, Trojan gained a reputation for bravery and dependability during his service.

He was particularly noted for his work at busy events such as Royal Ascot and football matches across UK cities including Oxford, Reading, Brighton, Leicester, and Southampton.

His calm and composed presence was valued by colleagues, marking the end of a respected career when he retired due to lameness in November 2019.

Trojan embraced retirement, forming close bonds with fellow police horses and enjoying a peaceful life surrounded by care and affection.

Despite treatment for his lameness, his condition worsened recently due to spring's firmer ground, leading to a compassionate decision to prevent further suffering.

Trojan passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who cherished him, marking the end of a life remembered for warmth and spirit.
