Delivery driver assaulted and spat at in Northampton
Police are appealing for information following an assault outside a fish and chip shop
Northamptonshire Police are seeking witnesses after a delivery driver was assaulted in Northampton.
The incident took place between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on the 17th of June outside Mr Chippy on St Leonards Road.
The altercation began when the delivery driver was attempting to locate an address while parked, and a BMW driver attempted to park nearby.
The situation escalated, leading to a physical assault in which the offender spat at the victim, knocked him to the ground, and kicked him.
The victim sustained bruising and a black eye.
The suspect is described as a mixed-race man in his 30s with a large build, approximately 15–20 stone.
He has black hair and a black, clean-cut beard.
Investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw the assault or has dash-cam or CCTV footage of the incident.
