Witness appeal after fatal road traffic collision in Corby

Detectives are appealing for witnesses, after a fatal road traffic collision in Cottingham Road, Corby.

At around 4.30pm on Saturday, August 22, a collision occurred involving a pedestrian and the driver of a blue Vauxhall Astra.

The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the scene, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on police bail.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident, or may have dash-cam footage, which could be relevant to the investigation.
