Detectives investigating an incident of violent disorder in Northampton have charged a sixth person.

Northamptonshire Police were called to reports of multiple people being stabbed in East Oval, Kings Heath, at around 8.35pm on Friday, June 5 this year.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on Friday, August 14, and subsequently charged with violent disorder and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

Morgan Pilsbury, of no fixed address, appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, August 15, where his case was committed to the crown court for trial.

He was remanded in custody until his next hearing at Northampton Crown Court on October 1.

The other defendants are:

• Kenny Mabuto, aged 18, of Ladywood, Birmingham, who is charged with violent disorder, Section 18 – GBH and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

• A 17-year-old boy from Northampton who cannot be named due to his age and is also charged with violent disorder, Section 18 – wounding with intent and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

• A 16-year-old boy from Leicester who cannot be named due to his age and is charged with possession of a bladed article and assisting an offender.

• A 17-year-old boy from Northampton who cannot be named due to his age is charged with violent disorder and possession of a bladed article

• Marshal Gearing, aged 21, of Brownlee Place, Northampton, is charged with assisting an offender.
