Three men jailed for stealing antiques from Northants home
Antique theft leads to significant prison terms
Three men have been sentenced for their involvement in a burglary in the village of Culworth, south Northamptonshire, last year.
On the morning of 10th March 2025, Scott Stockbridge, 48, Justin Stockbridge, 51, and Kaine Milstead, 30, broke into a property and stole antique items worth £8,000, including a copper cauldron, brass oil lamp stands, and a mirror. They escaped in a white Ford Transit van.
Northamptonshire Police's Burglary Team launched an investigation, resulting in the arrest of the Stockbridge brothers and Milstead. All three faced charges related to the burglary.
Justin Stockbridge admitted the offences in August at Aylesbury Crown Court. Although Scott Stockbridge denied the charges, he was convicted in November after a trial at the same court, where he faced additional charges, including theft and dangerous driving in the Thames Valley area.
The Stockbridge brothers returned to Aylesbury Crown Court on 2nd December. Scott received a sentence of six years and nine weeks, while Justin was sentenced to two years in prison for the burglary. Kaine Milstead, Scott's son, pleaded guilty in December at Northampton Magistrates' Court and was sentenced on 26th March to two years and six months for burglary and related driving offences.
Lead investigator - PC Christina Cooper from Force’s Burglary Team, said: “This burglary took place in a very rural area, but thanks to our joint enquiries with Thames Valley Police, we were led to these three men, and I am really pleased to see them all sent to prison.
“Thankfully the homeowner was not in when this burglary took place, and I would like to thank their family for their support and patience throughout our investigation.”
