72-year-old man charged with murder following Sywell caravan park incident
Nigel Brian Lewis remanded in custody after court hearing
A 72-year-old man appeared in court today charged with the murder of Susan Lumsden at a caravan park in Sywell.
Police were dispatched to the site on Ecton Lane at approximately 6.20am on 24th August in response to reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 62-year-old Susan Lumsden inside a caravan.
Nigel Brian Lewis, residing on Ecton Lane, was charged with her murder following a brief hearing at Northampton Magistrates Court.
Lewis has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Northampton Crown Court at 10am on Tuesday, 1st September.
