Police appeal after pedestrian 'seriously injured' in Northampton
A 26-year-old Northampton man who was arrested has been released under investigation
Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured following an incident on York Road in Northampton.
Officers say that at about 2pm on Wednesday, July 15, the driver of a red Toyota Prius car turned into York Road from the junction with Edmunds Road and almost collided with a pedestrian.
A man in his 90s fell during the incident and sustained serious injuries. Police say he was taken to Northampton General Hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.
Detectives from Northamptonshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision and may have captured it on dash-cam footage.
