Police have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision on the A6 at Irthlingborough.

It happened at about 9.45pm yesterday (9 December), when a red Nissan Micra car and rider of a green Benelli 125 motorbike collided.

The motorcyclist – a man in his late teens - was taken to the Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridgeshire with serious injuries.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage that captured any part of the collision.

A woman in her 30s, from the Greater Manchester area, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

She remains in police custody.
