Pedestrian dies following collision in Kettering

A 72-year-old man from the Wellingborough area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Kettering.

At about 4.55pm on Friday (7 November), the driver of a grey Toyota Yaris was driving along Rothwell Road, towards the town centre, when he was in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to University Hospital Coventry, where she sadly died.

A 72-year-old man from the Wellingborough area was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision, or who has dashcam footage that may be relevant to the investigation.
