The Northamptonshire Heritage Fair returns, celebrating the county's rich history and heritage today from 10am to 4pm at Wicksteed Park.

Organised by Discover Northamptonshire in partnership with the Northamptonshire Family History Society, the event promises to bring together heritage organisations from across the county, showcasing the vibrant diversity and historical offerings available locally.

Building on the success of last year’s fair at Chester House Estate, which was 'Highly Commended' at the Northamptonshire Heritage Forum Awards, organisers say this year’s event has attracted strong interest, with exhibitor bookings closing quickly due to increased demand.

Featured exhibitors include prominent organisations like the Chester House Estate, Northamptonshire ARC, Alfred East Gallery, Manor House Museum, and Corby Heritage Centre. Attendees can also look forward to displays from Vikings of Mercia, Stanwick Lakes, Northants and Rutland Open Studios, Middle Nene Archaeological Group, and Northamptonshire Film Archive Trust, among others.

Angela Malin and Janet Lawrence from the Northamptonshire Family History Society said in a statement: "We have been overwhelmed by the number of organisations coming to the Heritage Fair this year, which builds upon the success of previous events.

"There is such a rich diversity of history and heritage in the county, and this event will showcase to the public what is on offer on their doorsteps."

Cllr Greg Wilcox, North Northamptonshire Council’s Executive Member for Communities stated, "It is great that this extremely popular event is returning once again for 2026.''
