Man charged after woman injured outside Northampton Co-op

A 29-year-old man has been charged following an assault outside a Co-op store in Northampton.

Jerry Connors, of St Leonards Court in Northampton, was arrested after a woman in her 20s suffered a serious facial injury during an incident on Fieldmill Road at approximately 2.50pm on 24th January.

Connors has been charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, assault by beating, and criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

He appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on 28th January, where the case was committed to Northampton Crown Court for trial.

Connors has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance, scheduled for 12th March.
