Man dies after collision on M1 southbound at Northampton
A 79-year-old man was taken to hospital where he later died
A 79-year-old driver has died following a traffic incident on the M1 southbound at Northampton.
Police were called around 7.30pm on Wednesday 4 March close to Junction 15, where a grey Volkswagen Golf, a white DAF truck and a grey Honda Civic had collided.
A man who had been driving the VW Golf was taken to hospital, where he died a short while later.
Northamptonshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is asking any witnesses, including anyone who captured dashcam footage from the scene, to speak to them urgently.
