Kettering man jailed for threatening woman with knife
Man confronted woman with blade before fleeing on his mobility scooter
A Kettering man has been jailed for threatening a woman with a knife and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
On 12th November 2025, Jamie Morgan, 49, confronted a mother and her son on Valley Walk Green in Kettering.
Initially attempting to engage in conversation, Morgan became hostile when the woman refused to speak to him.
Morgan dismounted his mobility scooter and approached the woman holding what appeared to be a mobile phone but was actually a Stanley knife.
The woman began recording and threatened to call the police.
After putting away the knife, Morgan left the scene on his scooter.
An investigation revealed Morgan's breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which prohibited contact with children under 16.
Enquiries showed he had repeatedly approached the victim's son over two years.
Morgan pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on 30th June to 27 months in prison.
