A man from Kettering, arrested twice in the space of three months for drug dealing offences, has been jailed for more than three years.

Scott Tyrell, who is 29 and formerly of Cambridge Street, pleaded guilty last November to being concerned in the supply of cocaine between 12 June and 27 September 2025.

He also admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply the Class A drug and one of acquiring, using or possessing criminal property which related to the seizure of £1,500 in cash.

Northamptonshire Police searched an address in Naseby Road in June, where they found a 33g bag of cocaine that Tyrell claimed was for his own use.

An iPhone in the same bag contained messages implicating him in the supply of Class A drugs in Kettering.

He was arrested again in September, this time at an address in Bayes Street.

More than a kilogram of cocaine with an estimated street value of up to £40,000 was seized.

At Northampton Crown Court on Friday, 23 January, Tyrell was sentenced to a total of three years and six months in prison.

Detective Constable Emily Owen, of CID North, who led the investigation said: “We know that drug harm remains one of the biggest concerns among our local communities, and I hope that this case provides reassurance that we are listening.

“We also hope that this sentence reassures members of the public that we will take positive action against issues affecting them and that it encourages anyone who has concerns about drug dealing within their local communities to keep reporting suspicious activity to us.”
