Driver assaulted on A428 in Northamptonshire

The suspect smashed the driver’s side window with an object and struck the victim on the forehead

An investigation is underway after a driver was assaulted on the A248 in Northamptonshire.

Police say the attack happened shortly before 6pm on the 6th of April near West Haddon when the driver of a blue Vauxhall Astra Coupe overtook another car, stopped, and then attacked the person inside.

The suspect smashed the driver’s side window with an object and hit the victim on the forehead.

The assailant is described as a white man, aged about 30, approximately 5ft 10in tall, with short brown wavy hair and a brown beard.

He was wearing a light-coloured beige t-shirt and shorts.

Police say the suspect then returned to his vehicle and drove away from the scene.
