Police appeal for witnesses after man exposed himself behind local children's play area
A man was seen walking away from the area
Witnesses are being sought after a man was seen acting inappropriately in a Northampton park.
Between 4.30pm and 4.45pm on Wednesday, May 21, two people challenged a man after he was indecently exposed himself in Victoria Park, behind the children’s play area, near Muscott Street.
The man, who walked off, is described as Asian, aged 50-60 years old, about 5ft 7in, of a slim build, and wearing a mustard-coloured top, blue jeans and white trainers.
Police say that it is a busy Northampton park, and officers investigating would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the man acting inappropriately or who may have dash-cam footage of this man leaving the area.
Northamptonshire Police say they are committed to tackling all forms of sexual offending and we take reports of this nature very seriously.
A spokesperson for the force said:
"Anyone who can help identify this man is urged to get in touch.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
