The Air Ambulance Service has inaugurated a new store in Corby's town centre to raise essential funds supporting its lifesaving emergency services.

Opened on 30th October 2026, the dual-branded store champions both Your Local Air Ambulance (YLAA) and the National Children’s Air Ambulance (NCAA).

Your Local Air Ambulance provides rapid emergency care across Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Rutland, ensuring critically ill patients receive advanced care promptly at the scene of an incident.

The National Children’s Air Ambulance, serving across England, Scotland, and Wales, specializes in transferring critically ill babies and children, working hand-in-hand with NHS paediatric teams to ensure young patients access essential care swiftly and safely.

Kelly Riches, Retail Area Manager, expressed her enthusiasm for the store's integration into the Northamptonshire community:

“We are excited to be joining the Northamptonshire community with our dual-branded store.”

She encouraged locals to visit:

“Please visit our store to grab a bargain, chat about volunteering opportunities, or donate your pre-loved items. Every penny raised helps to keep our lifesaving missions possible."

Operating entirely on donations and receiving no government or National Lottery funding, the Air Ambulance Service appeals to community generosity to keep their helicopters operational 24/7, 365 days a year.
