Tadcaster drug dealer jailed for seven years
Oliver Hargreaves was caught during an early-morning raid in Leeds
A drug dealer has been jailed for seven years following an investigation into the supply of heroin and crack cocaine in Tadcaster.
24-year-old Oliver Hargreaves was caught when officers from North Yorkshire Police's Sentry Team, working alongside colleagues from West Yorkshire Police, executed an early-morning warrant at an address in the Gipton area of Leeds in May 2026.
During the raid, Hargreaves threw his mobile phone out of a window, which police said was an attempt to distance himself from the evidence against him.
He was arrested, interviewed and charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin between December 2025 and April 2026, along with possession of cannabis.
Hargreaves, who had no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to the charges.
He was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment at York Crown Court on 6th October 2026.
North Yorkshire Police said it would continue to work with other forces to investigate and disrupt those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in the area.
