Driver arrested after car flips in Ryedale collision

Police seek footage from Foxholes accident

Police are appealing for witnesses and any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to assist an investigation into a serious injury collision in Foxholes, Ryedale.

The incident occurred on the B1249 Main Street at approximately 11:45pm on Tuesday, 11th August, involving a grey Seat Leon travelling north towards Scarborough.

The car left the road and overturned in a field, resulting in significant damage.

Subsequent enquiries led to the arrest of the 19-year-old female driver on 25th August, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The woman, along with three teenage boys aged 16 and 17 who were passengers, suffered serious injuries in the crash.

All individuals are assisting police in their ongoing enquiries to determine the circumstances of the accident.

Though nearly a month has passed, investigators hope that motorists, homeowners, and businesses may retain footage that could clarify the events surrounding the collision.
