Police appeal after Attempted Burglary of a motorbike in Heworth

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a property on Waterside Gardens in Heworth.

The incident occurred at approximately 10.45pm on Tuesday, 27 May 2025. A suspect forced entry into a garage and attempted to steal a high-value motorbike but was disturbed by the occupants before he could leave with the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, around 5ft 9in tall, of skinny build. He was wearing a dark-coloured jacket with a bright-coloured lining, dark trousers, and dark shoes.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the man in the area at the time, witnessed the burglary, or has ring doorbell or CCTV footage showing someone matching the description nearby.
