Motorist arrested after dangerous driving pursuit near Scarborough
Driver in his 20s apprehended following overnight chase
A man in his 20s is in police custody following a high-speed pursuit on the A64 near Scarborough.
In the early hours of this morning (Friday 5th June), North Yorkshire Police spotted a silver Peugeot 207 driving erratically and at high speeds near Rillington.
The driver failed to stop for the police and continued towards Scarborough.
After approximately ten minutes, the vehicle clipped a kerb and came to a halt at Musham Bank.
The driver was arrested on multiple charges, including dangerous driving, failing to stop, drink driving, and possession of class C drugs.
The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
