Emergency services are dealing with a fire involving farm buildings in Kirby Misperton, near Flamingo Land, which is suspected to have been sparked by a lightning strike during a storm.
Firefighters from Malton, Kirkbymoorside, Scarborough, and Tadcasters are on scene, responding to fires in two barns - one empty and the other containing straw.
Efforts include setting up a dam to cool propane cylinders, monitored using thermal imaging cameras, while four hose reel jets are employed to extinguish the fire.
Police presence adds support to the ongoing situation.
